Known as the city of Bridges, it would be easy to spend weeks in Porto, Portugal, exploring the rich scents and flavours of the town, but if you only have 36 hours then you will need to narrow down your itinerary to make sure that you see the best that the charming Portuguese town has to offer. The charm of the city is easy to observe as it sits on steep hills with the river Douro passing underneath and providing for great views form the compact cobblestone streets of the city proper.

Café culture in Brussels
June 3, 2010 · Leave a Comment
Helped out by the fact that Brussels is one of the few places that has not been affected by the anti-smoking directive of the EU the city is still buzzing with life. Throughout Brussels are plenty of places where you can grab a coffee, a tea, a pastry, or if you are in need of something a little stronger a great pint. The designer city is filled with plenty of hip cafes with Bohemian designs, neighbourhood cafes that offer you a taste of local life, and of course the traditional cafes that have foaming pints of VEdette, the local fav.
