Microsoft announced this week that they will be filing a complaint with European Union competition regulators against the search engine giant Google due to the fact that the company has been isolating data and content that other competitors need to access. The new complaint will add to a list of others that are filed against Google from other competitors who fear the search result giant and the way it dominates the industry.
General Counsel for Microsoft Brad Smith wrote on a blog post for the company that Google continues to participate in a pattern that blocks off data and content that competitors need to access in order to offer the proper search results to their consumers and as a way to reach more advertisers.
